Christmas is not only the season to be jolly but also the time to be giving, especially if you have more to share with those in need. One of those that gave back to others was Cardi B, rapper and mom of one, who shopped for toys.
The musician, whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almanzar, was seen in a Target store in Miami, Florida last year days before Christmas, where she was shopping for toys like dollhouses and sports sets. Her purchases ballooned to $5,000 and were said to have been loaded to a truck that will take these to the kids.
Those who have been following Cardi B know that she is really generous. In 2018, the Bodak Yellow hitmaker went to the neighborhood of Gravesend, Brooklyn to give away free winter coats during one of the coldest nights in the place.
Recipients of the jackets only had nice words about the musician, saying that it was a nice gesture for them and the children. Explaining her act of kindness, she said she wanted to become a role model for kids who listen to her musical creations.
Cardi B went on to highlight the importance of caring for the younger generation and how it is crucial to start a change.
$500,000-Gift to Offset
The mother of Kulture is also a great gift-giver. When her partner Offset turned 28, Cardi B couldn’t think of any present for him since he already has a car, so she just gave him a fridge.
However, that wasn’t just an empty fridge — inside was a whopping $500,000! Offset obviously couldn’t believe what he had been given and said that his love shouldn’t have given him something.
Because the hefty sum was more than enough, Cardi B joked that he wouldn’t be receiving anything from her on Christmas.
Generosity on Christmas
Meanwhile, Cardi B isn’t the only celebrity who chose to give back on Christmas. LeBron James is easily one of the most loved basketball superstars of today but another reason to become his fan is his big heart.
The athlete launched the I Promise School, an elementary school in Akron, Ohio, through his eponymous foundation. The institution targets at-risk kids and feeds them and their parents as well.
Over the holidays, Lebron had the students aboard the Polar Express. A clip showed how the third graders enjoyed the trip, singing along and laughing on the ride.
