It was a night of the Invictus Games when two young reporters caught Prince Harry on his way. Prince Harry was driving his car with Meghan in the passenger seat when they caught Sophia and Jay.
After exchanging some warm greetings, reporters asked questions about their thoughts of Harry on the next generation. Harry was being asked about the goals of Son Archie and Lili. Archie is 2 years old with Lili who is the 10-months-old daughter of Harry. Here’s how Harry addressed the question.
“To become a better person in a better world,” Prince Harry responded. “To grow up in a more just, safer, and equitable world. It will not be easy, but I will never, ever, ever rest until I have attempted to make the world a better place for them as a parent. Because it is our fault that the world is as it is now. I believe that we should not bring children into the world unless we are prepared to make it a better place for them.”
Prince Harry also shared Archie’s thoughts for his career in an opening ceremony on Saturday. From Harry’s words, what Archie does claim is:
“When I ask my son Archie what he wants to be when he grows up, some days it’s an astronaut, other days it’s a pilot — clearly a helicopter pilot — or Kwazii from Octonauts,” Harry said, adding, “if you’re laughing, you’ve seen it.”
“However, I tell him that regardless of what he wants to be when he grows up, what counts most is his character, and nothing would make his mother and me prouder than to see him embody the spirit of what we see before us today,” he added.
A Quick Look at the Invictus Games Story
The essence of the Invictus Games was to serve the veterans who got severe injuries while serving their countries. It was also played in London in 2014, Orlando in 2016, Toronto in 2017, and Sydney in 2018. They will next take place in Düsseldorf, Germany, in 2023.
Prince Harry has served a decade in the British Army and two tours in Afghanistan. So, he established Invictus Games for the veterans men and women. In the opening ceremony of the Invictus Games, Harry addressed the Ukrainian Team with some supportive words. It was a warm welcome from Harry to the Ukrainian Team.
“Your courage in coming and being here tonight cannot be overstated,” he said a day after meeting Ukrainians at a reception. “As you are aware, we support you. The entire globe is united behind you. And yet you still deserve more. And my goal is that these events, particularly this one, offer a chance for us as a worldwide community to demonstrate our support for you more effectively,” Harry concluded.
