Owning a Ferrari is a dream of many celebrities – but very few of them can own one. Don’t get it twisted; it is not the price that disallows these millionaires from owning a car from this most iconic automaker.
Instead, it is the ‘pickiness’ of the luxury car brand. In other words, it’s Ferrari’s strict rules that prevent some celebs from owning the car, even if they have millions of dollars handy.
With that said, here are some celebrities who can never own a Ferrari in their life:
Chris Harris, a popular UK YouTube car reviewer, is perhaps the most famous of those blacklisted from owning a Ferrari. In 2018, Ferrari’s CEO Louis Camilleri made it clear that as long as he was at the helm, Harris would not be able to purchase one of their vehicles.
This is in part due to his tendency to be overly critical about some of the company’s offerings. Despite this ban, Harris continues to make videos about Ferrari cars and has since moved his focus to Lamborghinis instead.
Kim Kardashian is not allowed to own a Ferrari – but the reason why may surprise you. The reality TV star had been banned from owning one since 2003 when her father, Robert Kardashian, was sued by Ferrari’s parent company Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, for breach of contract and fraud.
As a result, Kim Kardashian is permanently blacklisted from buying any vehicle produced by the Italian carmaker. The ban also applies to her family members; her husband Kanye West, and their four children are all unable to buy Ferraris as well.
All in all, the moral of this story is clear: if you want to own a Ferrari, make sure you follow their ownership rules! Otherwise, you may be blacklisted from ever owning one of these iconic luxury cars.
So, make sure you take all of the necessary precautions before signing any contracts. And if you’re already in a contract with Ferrari, make sure to read it carefully and follow all of their rules. Otherwise, you may end up just like Kim Kardashian.
Justin Bieber is another celebrity who has been refused the chance to own a Ferrari. In 2014, the singer reportedly attempted to purchase two Ferraris from a dealership in Miami but was denied due to his checkered past.
Bieber had previously been arrested for driving under the influence and drag racing another vehicle. Both of these were offenses that saw him blacklisted from buying Ferraris for an unknown amount of time.
Tyga is another celebrity who has been barred from buying Ferraris. The American rapper reportedly had a habit of purchasing high-end luxury cars with cash but then failing to make payments on them. In turn, this caused Ferrari to blacklist him as a customer.
Likewise, Tyga is also no stranger to controversy. He has been involved in numerous legal battles and scandals. And some of which may have contributed to his ban from owning a Ferrari.
