We often refuse to accept how acting can be exhausting, just like any other profession. This can be because of rigorous days on set , long hair and makeup routines, tough schedules along with various circuits and appearances that encompass a production and press, since, afterall, alot of effort goes into the craft. As an audience, it’s easy to lose sight of this when we primarily just see actors on screens. As such, they undoubtedly deserve a break every now and then, and that’s just what one of Hollywood’s active stars has now decided in Andrew Garfield.
Andrew Garfiled is an Oscar nominated actor that has been part of several acclaimed movies, such as The Amazing Spider-Man, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, The Eyes of Tammy Faye and others. The actor has been going nonstop for the past year or so with “The Eyes of Tammy Faye” and “Tick, Tick … Boom!”
While most audiences will recognize him as Spider-Man in the 2012 and 2014 films from Marc Webb, he really broke out onto the scene for his incredible performance as Eduardo Saverin in David Fincher’s The Social Network. He’s also starred in Silence, 99 Homes, and Breathe.
Now, he can be seen in “Under the Banner of Heaven,” FX’s limited series adaptation of Jon Krakauer’s 2003 true-crime book of the same name. Garfield plays a Mormon detective investigating the brutal murder of a mother (Daisy Edgar-Jones) and her baby daughter by fundamentalist followers of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
“I Need To Recalibrate & Reconsider
In a recent interview he announced to be taking a little time off from his entire career and instead “rest for a little while.” Talking about his decision to take a break, the actor added, “It feels very important right now, especially after a lot of output, a lot of being out in the world, and giving a lot of energy to things that I’m very passionate about. Like it’s so tempting to live in that way of just always onto the next thing. But actually, and I know it’s a privilege that I get to even consider that, to actually take time.”
Meanwhile, just a few days ago, Garfield was spotted hanging out with Tobey Maguire. The two new besties went to a CAA screening of Michelle Yeoh’s ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once.’ After that, Andrew also spoke about his friendship with Tobey. Andrew Garfield said that his fellow Peter Parker is a good actor but even praised him for being a good friend.
While he may have then said to want to work with Tobey again, considering the hiatus now, it seems like that won’t be happening anytime soon. The actor has also announced his parting with his former girlfriend Alyssa due to work schedules and work load and now wishes to live an “ordinary” life for a while.
