One look at Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez and you can conclude that they are a match made in heaven – then you can start imagining how their babies will look like. But even if they have yet to formally tie the knot, it looks like both of them are already getting all the tips they can about married life.
Let’s face it, they really need all the help they can get because marriage is not a walk in the park no matter how perfect each of them is. Yes, they excel in each of their chosen paths – J. Lo is not just looked up to for her active lifestyle and fit body but also for her unbelievably ridiculous power of aging backward; while A. Rod has retired early from the sport that catapulted him to stardom and had since ventured into investing.
But both of them being successful in their own fields doesn’t mean the next phase of their life will be easy. So, the Love Don’t Cost a Thing hitmaker asked Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg some advice because why not?
The 86-year-old and husband Marty Ginsburg were married for more than 50 years (he, unfortunately, met his demise in 2010 because of the Big C), so her suggestion will certainly mean something. Ruth told the couple that the secret to a happy marriage is at times being deaf because there are things you have to let go.
The octogenarian further explained that nobody is perfect and sometimes, the best thing to do in restless situations is to stay calm. The Hustlers star said that she and Alex will use this suggestion when things get out of control.
J.Lo said that they learned that whenever there’s a heightened emotion, they should stay calm and refuse to engage. This valuable advice by the judge was apparently also given to her by no less than her mother-in-law during her wedding day.
Sweet Gestures
While the couple is obviously gathering up pieces of advice for the next milestone, it remains unclear when they will actually tie the knot. Despite that, J.Lo and A.Rod continue to swoon us every single time they make sweet gestures toward each other.
Just recently when the songstress lost the Best Supporting Actress for her role in Hustlers to Laura Dern (Marriage Story), her fiancé took to Instagram to show his support for his lady by saying that she doesn’t need a trophy nor an award to become a true champion.
The MLB athlete then went on to say how Jennifer is a champion in her own way by touching the lives of so many people and inspiring the younger generation.
