Almost every day, you see a celebrity or a public figure talk about a new diet that is good for your health, keeps you in shape and is considered the next big thing. However, the conversation about climate change and the ecosystem has been on the rise. As consumerism increases every minute, it is becoming increasingly difficult for industries to keep up with the demand. To combat this situation, scientists have come up with a solution: a plant-based diet.
A plant-based diet, as the name suggests, is a diet that is entirely based on foods that are derived from plants and contain little to no ingredients that come from animals. While many people were skeptical about the new diet, celebrities were quick to try it out! Now, it looks like Kim Kardashian has something to say about it. If you are interested in checking out the benefits of plant-based sustenance, then hear it from Kim herself.
What Is a Plant-Based Lifestyle?
Before we jump into what Kim Kardashian has to say, here’s a rundown of what a plant-based diet is all about. It is considered a synonym for a vegan diet since both diets consist of people only consuming food items made from plant products and avoiding all and any products derived from animals. This diet includes consuming lentils, legumes, greens, vegetables, and fruits while avoiding dairy products, meat products, etc.
Kim K Spills The Beans
Recently Kim Kardashian shared on her sister’s blog that she can get her psoriasis under control with the help of a plant-based diet, especially through her gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan tacos. Psoriasis is a condition where patients suffer from red and scaly patches on the skin. It is a condition that both Kim Kardashian and beauty mogul Kylie Jenner suffer from.
Kim mentioned that she eats her favorite tacos at least once a week. When she has to eat out, if the restaurant doesn’t have a strict vegan/plant-based menu, then Kim K opts for the food item that somewhat adheres to her diet. She stated that she tries her best to stick to the plant-based diet unless it’s a treat day.
A Good Switch?
Coming back to the topic of Psoriasis, Kim revealed that she drinks a sea-moss smoothie since they are anti-inflammatory. She also tries to incorporate as many anti-inflammatory and antioxidant foods as possible. A plant-based diet hasn’t only helped the billionaire with her skin condition but has also helped her become more mindful about what she eats and how it affects her body, including her mood, energy, stress levels, and more.
