Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been making quite the news lately, with their second child’s announcement in 2021 and the officially finalized departure from the royal family. Meghan Markle had faced quite the criticism over the split and was blamed for it entirely.

The British media took the opportunity and gave her a tough time but, the American actress is not the one to back down. She recently received 450k pounds as an interim payment over the Sunday privacy case.

Though she stated that the entire debacle had been emotionally draining and traumatizing, she won the privacy lawsuit against the Associated Press.

Archewell Foundation Making An Impact

Meghan and Harry’s Archewell Foundation is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to helping and uplifting communities throughout the world. It is currently collaborating with the ‘World Central Kitchen’ to develop and establish community relief centers in areas that are vulnerable to climate disasters.

The first center was established in Dominica as part of their ‘Climate resiliency plan’.  They have updated that the construction of centers is completed in Dominica, which is also a part of the Commonwealth. The center is to provide protection in case of a hurricane. It is also solar-powered and plans on providing a training program for chefs to help them be equipped to deal with situations of natural disasters.

This is not the first time the pair has stepped into charity work. They were previously serving in the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust as president and vice president. In a statement from the organization, they commended the support they received from Meghan and Prince Harry and were glad to have their continued support.

Queen in Denial

It was only a few days back when Queen Elizabeth, clearly severely inconvenienced by the split, released a public statement regarding the couple and stated that it was ‘impossible’ to continue their charitable work after stepping down from their posts. Nevertheless, Prince Harry and Meghan have found themselves proving the Queen wrong.

Despite there being rumors of tension between the royal family members, a source close to the claims that there still remains quite a strong bond.
