What Has Been Brewing?
Despite all the success and fame to her name, Jada Pinkett Smith has recently indulged in quite the controversy lately regarding cheating on her husband, Will Smith.
Jada addressed the infidelity rumors and confessed to having a “romantic entanglement” with American Singer August Alsina, around 4 years back. The secret was revealed on the Smith family’s Facebook watch show, Red Table Talk, last year.
The Recent Episode of Red Table Talk
In the recent episodes of the Red Table Talk, Jada Pinkett Smith further revealed the impact that the COVID-19 pandemic has had on her relationship with Will Smith. The episode was hosted by her daughter, Willow Smith, and her mother, Adrienne Banfield Norris. It was wrapped around the sensitive topic of Jada and Will’s relationship of 23 years.
The couple tied the knot in 1997, and she revealed that she had realized that she doesn’t know her husband at all. Upon further questioning, she opened up to say that she had created this image of her husband – of something he was not.
She later added that she is working on clearing her mind of these false images and accepting her husband for who he truly is. She then gave details on how both of them are working on bettering their relationship by getting to know each other all over again.
Marriage Can Be Hard
In the same episode, she spoke about marriage and how it is seen as picture-perfect, but the couple is now working on loving themselves and creating a sense of friendship amongst them.
Jada also mentioned how it is so very easy for people to drift away from their partner, and that’s what happened to them as they both began to realize that they no longer knew each other.
There’s no denying that the pandemic has gotten the best of all of us – some more than others. But, we wish Jada and Will the best on their journey to self-love and growth.
